Nani Waddoups, Licensed Professional Counselor
I believe we navigate the waters of life by constantly adjusting to subtle and profound changes, much like tacking a sailboat or steering a kayak in order to keep moving ahead. How we experience those changes — as loss or opportunity, with sadness or joy — determines the course we will follow.
While each of us must make the individual choice of how to move forward, I believe we are all in this together. No one needs to navigate alone. The process of counseling is to support the planning of the trip ahead and to help navigate the waters of life. On January 1, 2020, I will be closing my private practice in order to join the staff at The Dougy Center for Grieving Children and Families. I am proud to be able to serve our entire community through the Dougy Center, and to contribute to the support of grieving families in Portland and beyond. If you are in search of a counselor for individual work, please visit my resources page for a list of my trusted colleagues.
I wish you well,
